I am looking for a house to rent in April, 2010. My husband just got orders to Dyess, very unexpectedly. We had been living in our current state for years, sharing custody of his older children. Now, my husband, my 3 yr old boy and myself are forced to move across country, leaving his older children here in our current house, with their mother. We will pay half the mortgage for our house here, so we need to find something VERY reasonable in Abilene. Most important features to me in a house are a nice neighborhood, fairly decent inner and outer appearance, reasonable cost, fenced yard!

My wishlist includes: Cul-De-Sac location, pool (I realize this is a super wish list item), hardwood floors and tile, updated features, swingset.

We will pay $800-1000.

I am looking to rent a house preferrably a 2 bedroom house that has a fenced yard for a medium-sized inside/outside dog. My dog does not bark which prevents any noise complaints from neighbors and I absolutely clean up after her.

The house should have central air (no window units, etc.) and at least a refrigerator and stove/oven as in-place applicances. Any others would just be a bonus. Location does not really matter but would prefer it be within 20 minutes to base.

I am currently in a lease with an apartment until Feb. but willing to move ASAP if the right place/price is found.
